Gold Plating Watches & Clocks
October 20, 2010 by Easy Electroplating ·
The gold plating of clocks, pocket watches, wristwatches and associated counterparts such as bezels, cases, winding crowns and hands is something that we do frequently. We can also electroplate the markers on your replacement watch dial to compliment the watch being fitted to.
Gold plating is the most common precious metal that we use to electroplate horological items. These tend to be 9, 14 or 18 carat gold plated. We can, of course, colour match selected parts for that perfect finish thus avoiding the need and cost of having the whole item gold plated.
If you fancy a change to your old or new wristwatch you do not have to have it gold plated. We can electroplate your treasured timepiece in any of the precious metals we offer including; yellow, white, rose and green gold, platinum, palladium and silver. We also offer nickel plating which is sometimes favoured on older pocket watches and chains.
We can easily produce a bi-metal effect should you want the bezel in gold plate and the watch case in white gold plating. This can also be followed through onto the watch bracelet by electroplating alternate links in yellow and white gold. Any combination of the electroplating services we offer is possible and it’s all down to your personal choice.
The diamond set stainless steel Tag Heuer bracelet shown here is a perfect example of selective gold plating. Both the before and after pictures can be seen in our gallery.
We offer a fast gold plating service on all your wristwatches, pocket watches, clocks and parts.
